loving my yard

 this is the fence on the property line on the west side of the house

 half of these plants on the side weren't even on my lot

especially this large oak tree in the sw corner that totally shades the house

60 years old, just like the house

the guy next to me owns 2 empty lots and a third with a building on it

I approached him last June about selling me the lot or half the lot next to me

finally in March he agreed to sell half the lot

we started building a fence

I had some great helpers

while their mom built the fence

 they helped

and had a lot of fun

 monkeying around

this is the front - the street is to the right

 we took the old fence out

and put it up in the back

almost done

 we can sit in the shade of the tree and look at the house

which we never could before

tree and house reunited

some dreams do turn out quite well
